  2. Thank you for using SimJack!
  3.  
  4. Installation is simple.  Move all of the unzipped files to
  5. the directory you want them to permanently reside (e.g. C:\SIMJACK).
  6. Note: the *.SJP files are the predefined game parameter files
  7. which can be opened within the SimJack.  Next, Go to the Program
  8. Manager and put the program item (the SimJack icon) in your "Games" 
  9. program group.  This is done through the "New" command under the
  10. "File" menu.

  12. Removal is virtually the reverse of the installation.  However,
  13. you will also want to remove the SIMJACK.INI file that resides
  14. in your Windows directory.

  16. Special Note: I have included the file CTRL3DV2.DLL.  This library
  17. gives dialog boxes their 3-D look.  Most of you will already have
  18. this file in your System directory; if not, then please add it.  If
  19. there is any problem with CTRL3DV2.DLL, then simply remove it from
  20. the program directory - SimJack will have no problem running
  21. without it.

  24. This program will improve your blackjack game!  Why?
  25.  
  26.     1. It contains a real-time advice facility which 
  27.       statistically suggests what your next action 
  28.       should be.  No more guessing if you should "hit", 
  29.       "stand", "double down", etc.  Also, this advice 
  30.       can be user defined.

  32.    2. It contains game simulation.  Simulation is a 
  33.       feature that allows rapid automated play.  This 
  34.       feature gives you insight on how blackjack games 
  35.       transpire.  Also, it can be used to validate any 
  36.       user defined advice.  See, good advice will win 
  37.       you money over thousands of rounds of play.

  39.    3. It contains a full help facility containing basic
  40.       as well as advanced blackjack tutorials and ,of 
  41.       course, help on the application itself.

  44. This software is shareware and may be freely distributed.
  45. You are not required to register this software; however, 
  46. unlicensed copies will be restricted to 25 rounds of play.
  47. This restriction will effectively render the simulation 
  48. feature useless.  There are two methods of registration.

  50.    1. You can register through Compuserve's Shareware
  51.       Registration (GO SWREG).  SimJack is ID #3103.  A $10
  52.       debit will appear on your CompuServe bill.  You will
  53.       receive a license number via e-mail.
  54.  
  55.    2. You can send e-mail to 74462,1600@compuserve.com and
  56.       request the address to send your $10 check or money 
  57.       order.  Sorry for the inconvenience; however, this 
  58.       method will avoid street address obsolescence.  After
  59.       receiving your payment, you will receive a license 
  60.       number via e-mail.

  64. deems a new version release, then I will e-mail the registered
  65. users and let them know of the details.  I don't foresee any
  66. additional cost for upgrades.  For instance, existing license
  67. numbers will be valid on any upgrade.
